1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how EasyMove Man and Van, operated by Magnificentech Solutions Ltd, uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on easymovevan.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. We use these technologies in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies — local storage and session storage — which work in a similar way to remember information in your browser. Where this policy refers to “cookies”, it includes these technologies.
3. The cookies we use
3.1. Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function and for you to sign in and book. These include the authentication token that keeps you logged in and security cookies that protect your session. The site cannot work without them, so they are not optional.
3.2. Functional
Used to remember details of your quote and move as you go through the site — for example your pickup and delivery addresses and the quote you are about to check out. This information is stored in your browser (local and session storage) so you don’t have to re-enter it, and is not used for advertising.
3.3. Payment
When you pay, our payment provider Stripe sets cookies to process the transaction securely and to help detect and prevent fraud. These are set by Stripe as a separate data controller; see Stripe’s cookie information.
3.4. Analytics & advertising
We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies that track you across other websites. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
4. Managing cookies
4.1. You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove them and clear local and session storage.
4.2. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site — including signing in and booking — from working.
